Her reviews and essays are first hand witnesses to the panorama of artistic endeavors in the beginning of this century with the focus on Korean and Japanese artists. Shinyoung Chung is the chief curator at the Seoul National University Museum of Modern Art. Besides curating, she writes art reviews for Artforum from Seoul and Tokyo, and lectures on modern and contemporary art at the SNU.
