At one point in time it was rescued from a fire, and there is a smaller blackened mark on the pages (that gradually diminishes to about page 60) indicating what had been done to the covers (they were a sight). Something which piqued my interest is the stamp on the title page from the Arizona (Illegible word) Historical Society. At what point in time did it arrive there and what were the circumstances surrounding that procurement?
