More > 1955-2015. The story is told through the eyes of teachers, students, parents and administrators. The first seminary classes were held in Ashland and Klamath Falls, Oregon, in 1955. The institute program was established on the campus of Southern Oregon College in 1962. The book is dedicated to the teachers and leaders who labored so diligently to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the youth and young adults in the area. The names of over 1000 volunteer teachers are included in the Appendices. Written by Douglas F. Baird, the director of the Ashland Institute of Religion who taught and lived in Southern Oregon for 29 years. He was personally acquainted with most of those who were the early participants in the programs. The book contains 185 pictures and documents in its 315 pages.< Less
