More > Duluth, Minnesota. “I got interested in painting because of a divorce. “Normally, nothing good comes from a divorce, but for me, I discovered my passion in painting.” On the weekends, Joyce needed something to do, so she bought acrylic and watercolor paint and supplies. Joyce learned how to paint by watching painting shows on TV, where her mentors were Bob Ross and Buck Paulson. Joyce expanded her skills when her husband, Don, signed them both up for an art class in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. “Don was a great artist and could paint anything,” says Joyce.
