Over the past year, the young women at GVRC have gathered together on Monday evenings with poets & artists from the Buckham Fine Arts Project and students from UM-Flint to delve into creative works by and about notable women. These works became the springboards from which the girls explored and gave voice to their personal, family, and community histories.
