Pitt County, N.C. - Road, Bridge, and Mill Records (1858-1899)
Prints in 3-5 business days
Pitt County was formed in 1760, from Beaufort. However, none of the colonial records (road, bridge, mill) were preserved. However, some records were save. The road records were contained in two... More > folders (1858-1899) and the bridge records (1866) in one. The mill records were also contained in one folder (1861, 66, 67) yet this is a nice moderate collection of mill issues. Together, this collection is a nice overall review of the issues counties faced in the mid-19th century. Every document was photographed, and the key information transcribed for indexing (names are Last, First) and cataloging (table of contents).< Less
