The rules were simple – once a day for 100 days straight I would take a daily shot which I would then embellish with some sort of typographic treatment. The piece would have to be independent of any other work I was doing and had to be completed on-the-fly (meaning no preparation). I tried very hard not to over think and wanted to cultivate a spontaneous feel that was fun and simple. No real planning was ever involved, and as much as possible I used personal elements that would reflect my life and say something about who I am and how I see the world. It was an experiment that focused on the random elements of everyday life and the language of photography and graphic design.< Less
