The first three offers an interpretation of MCS's three identity statements. Based on those interpretations, the fourth part argues that MCS, like other Anabaptists, have strong affinities with traditional monasticism and the emerging new monasticism. This proposal suggests that MCS would benefit from identifying with both Anabaptists and monastics, because it will clarify MCS unique identity and mission, enable MCS to benefit explicitly from monastics insights, disciplines, and guidance, and attract like-minded followers of Christ.< Less
