Pull Up, Dammit, You're Gonna Kill Us All By Gerry Carley
eBook (PDF): $4.95
This is the story of my flying career. Many such books have been written, and most of them contain fascinating stories about someone doing great things on momentous occasions. They might involve... More > flying Spitfires in the Battle of Britain, for example, or P-51s in the Nazi-infested skies of Germany. Or they might contain the adventures of an F-86 pilot hunting Migs in Mig Alley over North Korea, or perhaps stories of flying F-105s over Thud Ridge going downtown to Hanoi. Others contain stories of aviation pioneers, extending the boundaries of flight, or flying to the moon. Mine, on the other hand, seems to be defined by the characters with whom I flew, rather than by deeds of derring-do.< Less

Goodness--An Essay By Barry Cooper
eBook (PDF): $0.00
This is a book proposal I wrote. If you are an agent, or know one, this is a decent if somewhat dated (my ideas have evolved) summary. My email is bearachtraining@yahoo.com in that event. You can... More > also contact me with personal questions of an intellectual or other nature. If you are looking for a sense of how I am trying to tie together tremendous quantities of ideas about Goodness into an integrated whole, or what specific problems I am trying to solve, this is an excellent introduction. The net is that if you fail to create a positive moral narrative, you will fall into a negative one. Social behavioral stasis is not possible, absent the sort of absolute tyranny attempted in many Communist nations, and achieved in North Korea. Thus, liberty must be protected by coherent morality. This paper makes that case.< Less

(1 Ratings)
Built as both a fighter-interceptor and fighter-bomber, the F-86 Sabre (sometimes called the Sabrejet) was one of the most widely-produced fighters of the Cold War. In December of 1950, three... More > squadrons of Sabres were rushed into combat in Korea, where they dueled North Korean, Chinese and Russian pilots flying the MiG-15. By the time the war was over, F-86 pilots achieved a stunning victory ratio — destroying nearly 800 enemy aircraft with a loss of only 76 Sabres. The nimble jet also saw combat in the Taiwan Straight Crisis and the Indo-Pakistan Wars of 1965 and 1971. Originally printed by North American and the U.S. Air Force, this F-86 Flight Operating Manual taught pilots everything they needed to know before entering the cockpit. Classified “Restricted”, the manual was recently declassified and is here reprinted in book form. This facsimile has been reformatted and color images appear in black and white. Care has been taken to preserve the integrity of the text.< Less
