Well hello there,
Some years ago I stopped sending postcards. Instead I started taking an interest in the detail of places and people around me and looking for humour in every situation. I carried... More > a small notebook with me, and on arriving back in civilisation these notes were turned in to a brief summary of the holiday and emailed to friends. The email would be called ‘Postcard from wherever.’ I didn’t expect an acknowledgment and wondered if my friends would think me mean for not splashing out on cards and stamps.
The response was astounding. I was told by everyone on the postcard list that they enjoyed receiving them and looked forward to the next one. Sometimes my friends sent the postcard on to other people. They then asked to be added to the list. On the occasions I didn't make the effort to write a postcard, friends told me of their disappointment. So there you have it, and here we are. It has been fun and I would like to share these amusing times with you.< Less
