Beautiful vintage die cuts scraps calendar, using scans of real antique 1870 paper figures found in an old scrap book. These coloured printed papers and embossed die cuts (beginning of 19th century)... More > enjoyed great popularity in Germany and Great Britain, with embossed pre-cut scraps giving a three-dimensional look. Scrap albums collecting them became very popular in Victorian times. Today these scraps are used for decoupage or collage, as gift cards, glued on to decorate furniture, boxes or trunks, even as Christmas decorations, there is no limit to their use, especially in decoupage, (French “decouper”, meaning “to cut out”).
