More > receiving an honorary LL.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1832. Southard notes that a failure at this point will create terrifying politicians, as he states: "The educated rogue or infidel is but the more dangerous man." Later he remarks on Biblical Prophecy, true to history, never failing, and in the future serving as the only sure guide to his students of world events yet to come in particular the Middle east: "Israel will be restored, the words of prophecy stand sure."
