Simplified Decoding & Fault Tolerance in Error Detection and Correction
Paperback: \$16.51

poly-adic (p-adic) extension of Projective Geometry based LDPC codes for ‘symbol’ error detection and correction ,on the lines of designing p-adic extensions of Hamming codes, BCH codes... More > and Golay codes. The Graeffe’s “lifting” method is used for obtaining p-adic extension of the codes. For RS codes the alphabet is from the for p, a positive integer greater than 1. For 2-adic codes, the alphabet needs to be considered over the ring of 2-adic integers modulo . 2-adic codes can be decoded using probabilistic techniques (belief propagation) and therefore perform better than RS codes. RS codes are decoded using algebraic techniques. The 2-adic extended PG based LDPC code is constructed by using simple linear shift registers and the decoding is done using the simple linear feedback symbol based shift registers. A new decoding architecture is proposed to handle the symbols apart from the bits, thus enhancing the capability of the decoder to detect different duration of burst errors and correct them.< Less
PUZZLE MATH: Algebra EOC Practices with Examples and More

This workbook was made for students who are preparing for Florida's Algebra End-of-Course exam, but all algebra students could find it to be useful. At end of course time, all Florida algebra... More > students take the Algebra EOC Test, which currently all students in Florida must pass in order to graduate. There are 4 lengthy items in this workbook. The first is a 7-page, 12-question decoder practice piece. Each of the 12 questions has an example companion problem designed to be used for analogy. The second is an 8-page, 15-question practice in the same decoder-with-examples-for-each-problem style. Following next are 2 'half practice tests'. These last 2 pieces are just regular EOC-like questions, and an answer key is included at the end of each. The first half is 4 pages with a total of 20 questions, and the second half is 4 pages with 15 questions total. The author has had significant measurable success using these 4 resources with respect to improving pass rates, and her colleagues have reported the same.< Less
PUZZLE MATH: Simplifying Basic Algebraic Expressions
