Sex, money and power, things aren’t always as they seem as the enchanting rewards of profit and pleasure help engender widespread lawlessness in the booming international trading post of Ciudad... More > del Este. A modern-day Casablanca set at the nexus of the so-called five wars of globalization (terrorism, trafficking, money laundering, piracy and migration), Ciudad del Este is home to the largest illicit economy in the Western Hemisphere, and arguably the most lawless metropolis on the planet, where the seductive allure of its tropical setting masks the danger of its dark undercurrents. Into this hornet’s nest walks Travis Newcomb, the CIA’s new Deputy Chief of Station, and a man with unassailable integrity. Little by little, the elusive nature of his enemies and the abundantly delightful temptations in Ciudad del Este reset his moral compass. First Issue in a series. Text: Kevin Kerslake. Art: Iva Sasheva.< Less

Like a round fired from a .22 rifle, two groups of eleven Christian men and ladies, boys and girls, on fire for God and full of energy and power by the Holy Spirit, shoot out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana early on the morning of July 6, 2007, headed toward La Ciudad, Mexico. Ever heard of it? I hadn’t either. Thanks for taking a moment to visit the memories of mine, well at least those that I have decided to share, and ask God as to what He would have you do for the cause of spreading the gospel of salvation to this lost and dying world.< Less
