The majority of CAHs are in Health Professional Shortage Areas and/or Medically Underserved Areas.” Proposals were expected to be lean/nimble, adaptable/flexible, healthy/green, community integrated and employ steel construction. The program is based upon collaborative care delivery, minimal patient movement and resource utilization. Clinical areas consisted of 36,200 BGSF. Relevant community health-oriented spaces were added so final proposals involved a range of between 40-50,000 BGSF.
