With masterfully crafted graphite pencil drawings at their best, this book is an excellent addition to those who have already collected Volume 1. In fact - it's encourage to collect all in the series to have a full understanding on how this artist draws with all lines.< Less
When we were on winter vacation in Breckenridge, Colorado
during President's week, Carlos (5) found little notebooks in the
hotel that he used for drawing animals. He made sure that
there was only... More > one animal on each page and that he never
drew an animal twice. After a while it was really difficult to
come up with an animal that he had not drawn yet.
Fortunately Carlos' brothers Thaddeus and Mitchell were
there to help and they came up with some pretty exotic
animals.
Carlos did not like the 'letters from the hotel' so he cut out all
the animals. Back home when Papa scanned the animals,
this created nice shadows that Carlos and Papa had to clean
up again... Carlos learned to draw on the computer as well
and managed to improve some of the drawings.
This book only contains the drawings...Carlos did not want
to have any photos in it. However in the back we can see one
photo of our artist when he was not drawing, but listening to
his Mother's Ipod while taking a break from skiing.< Less
