I have spent 25 years or so in the pre-engineered steel industry in the service avenues of engineering, customer service, internal sales, and external sales. Most of my life has also been centered... More > around ministry in various fashions. I have been a Music Director, Choir Director, Youth Minister, Sunday School Teacher, and Pastor. You do not spend that much time around people living life, and not learn a few things along the way. My training and core strength of analyzing people and processes has allowed me to see the character and work ethics of youngsters and seniors alike. I hope my sharing of this knowledge encourages you to lead by example with the most moral and astounding work ethic possible. I attended Oklahoma Baptist College, Oklahoma City, OK and Tri-State Baptist College, Memphis, TN. My stress relieving passion is bass fishing, but I also enjoy trout fishing for the beautiful scenery involved. The common phrase, “The tug is the drug” is true for me.< Less

GOD and... More > the Devil have had a tug of war with me. I've had many extremes, parents married 10 times, 9 schools in 10 years, moved 43 times, many jobs, sex, physical feats, tornados, hurricanes, GIGANTIC SHARKS, GATORS and FISH. I was blind and crippled at age 3 and 4. I ended up running a marathon, swimming a bay and climbing a fairly large mountain in Salzburg, Austria. Three of the Earths worst natural disasters and a record-breaking hurricane season occurred while I was writing this book. I wrote this towards the end of 2004, 2005 and the begining of 2006. There were quite a few coincidences as well. The Earth is in extreme times, spiritually, culturally, politaclly, and natural disasters. My life passed before my eyes and that ironically saved my life. I'm not afraid of dying, your SOUL continues. Kendall E. Plummer< Less

On any given day, you can see sailboats, kayaks, a paddle wheeler, and cruise ships merging with pilot boats, tugs, small fishing boats, cargo ships, and other vessels that ply its waters. Sea lions, salmon, and occasional pods of whales mix with other sea life, and seagulls, crows, and cormorants rule the sky. Filled with lovely illustrations of the Columbia River and the surrounding Astoria, Oregon, area, these reflections reveal what the river has taught the author about life and how it has become her muse. In considering the mysteries of the river, the author urges others to think about what speaks to them. Whether it’s music, dance, the smile of a child, or some aspect of nature, you’ll learn important things about yourself and the universe by honoring it with expression.< Less
