Calendar 2014, 12 months January to December. Over the years, I have found these miracles of nature on my window and watched with excitement as nature painted this magical frost art on my windows.... More > The next morning I would get up early, excited to see what beauty I would find. In most cases there was a small window of opportunity (pardon the pun) to capture them. As soon as the sun hit the window, they melted, gone until the next masterpiece would appear. It’s hard to find frost like this anymore, as today’s windows are well made and do not provide the leakage and moisture required to form the frost. But I am always looking and if I find frost on a friend’s window I invite myself to stay the night and bring my camera. Depending on the time of day and the angle of the light, the refracted light produces a colourful display that can explode into a three-dimensional abstract. I have not manipulated them in any way other than sharpening and some clean up. Contact janice@janicestreet.ca< Less

More > pronouncing for the superiority of Anglo Saxon culture, London nevertheless shows a telling dignity in the way the Indian Tribes lived their lives and in their fight for survival against the incomers. Amongst the stories here are some telling examples of London's belief in evolutionary theory, particular The Law of Life, in which a tribe, departing for Winter hunting grounds, leaves behind an enfeebled elder man to die. London shows the man as someone who is not bitter, but reconciled to his fate, confident in the natural order of the wild in which his people make their lives.< Less
