More > influence in daily life. I am interested in the intentional uses of happenstance. Last year, I had the (fortunate) misfortune of having my hard drive crash, at which time I discovered that my external hard drive was corrupted. I ran a recovery on the drive, and I ended up with thousands of unorganized, unnamed digital photographs, many of which were corrupt. At the time, I was too angry to go through the images. But a few months went by, and I began to slowly sift through them. Most of the files were damaged, but in a quite beautiful way. I have begun to use these as a jumping-off-point for compositions, but found that many stand strongly on their own.< Less

But I became fascinated as I “wandered” through this zoomed in world by the strange patterns. This portfolio is the result of extracting minut sections of just one image. In fact they are all “photographs” from one single image taken with my camera.< Less
