More > Einstein, gravitation is rather a manifestation of curved space and time caused by the presence of matter and energy and not due to a force while electromagnetism acts between charges. The strong nuclear force, the weak nuclear force and the electromagnetic force are widely understood as manifestations of a single and more fundamental force. These basic forces of quantum mechanics are combined with gravity to create a theory of quantum gravity, to unify general relativity and quantum mechanics. A quantum theory of gravitation is still not available, the attempts to unify gravitation with the other known fundamental forces of nature are still unsuccessful.
