He has been composing Latin verse for the last 80 years, and the present collection, put together after his 90th birthday, represents those poems which have most significance for him. The last poem in the collection was composed in celebration of the marriage of his grandson to his Taiwanese bride, and was read out as part of the wedding celebrations in Taipei. It is published here with a translation into Mandarin (possibly a first in a book of Latin poetry!).< Less
