The unexpected loss of an unborn child, whether through miscarriage or stillbirth, often produces heart-wrenching grief and sorrow. So many hopes and dreams are wrapped up in the life of this little... More > one. There are so many questions--and so few answers. Added to the list of parental concerns is how to break the unwelcome news to their child at home, who so anxiously awaits to be a "big brother" or "big sister." Written as a letter from the unborn child you have lost, to the older sibling in the family, the book tactfully explains why the baby can't come and live with the rest of the family. You may shed some tears as your family reads the story together, and you will also find words of comfort that will help your whole family through the healing process. The book is personalizable, so you can write your child's name and "sister" or "brother" in the appropriate places, making it seem as if it truly was written by the little one you lost, who now lives in Heaven.< Less

I'm Dyslexic - It's a Great Way to Be By Robert Jameson
eBook (ePub): $4.03
Being dyslexic caused me plenty of grief while at school. And as a young adult who could not read, I missed out on a lot. I recall a friend encouraging me to read a book he thought I would enjoy. He... More > said; “You should read this. You are the type of person who would really appreciate it.” That was a nice compliment but I did not read the book – I could not read! We have been evolved to decipher words carried on sound waves, entering our brains via our ears. Encoding words in print and taking them in through our eyes is not natural and we should not be surprised if many people cannot do it. Then there is the way the English language is written. Godfrey Dewey noted that 41 English phonemes are spelt 561 different ways. The ‘oo’ sound for example can be spelt 22 different ways. Certainly a challenge for people not naturally gifted with good reading and spelling skills. Thankfully though, computer text-to-speech as made it possible for me to cope with life in a world dominated by the printed word.< Less

This honey of a door weight is close to 700 pages and is not for the faint of eyeballs or weightlifting - in fact, it is the ideal book of verse to carry with you in sketchy neighborhoods and to have by your side when you buy your own island and you need a softcover pillow on which to dream and stuff just like that. When I buy my island, I am going to buy one of these just like this. I ain't lyin'.< Less
Horizontal Ladders By Vincent Lee

More > choose to move with a purpose. In these stories we question what it means to live deliberately; to continue, both despite and in response to change. We were asked to find a person we felt embodied “living deliberately” and assigned the daunting task of carving their stories and all the existence that made them be, into a few pages. So, on we went like young explorers ready to scale the mountainous peaks of the human condition and all that lies between. At the end of our fruitful journey where we toiled with descriptions, deadlines and semicolons, we came together and produced this book. Here you will find strength among grief, love among sorrow and perseverance against odds. We invite you with each story to enter new perspectives, perceive new lessons and move forward both changed and the same, as such is life.< Less

Redefining Success By Renee Jensen
eBook (PDF): $0.00
Tired of the many “get rich quick” schemes and thinly veiled direct marketing claims of “having it all,” Ally and Sarah wanted to offer real stories of success and the truth... More > about what success means to each woman individually. Together, they reached out to several women in their networks, and the final 13 came together. Each woman has written a chapter that tells her individual story of personal triumph, moments of grief, support, growth, and ultimately, success. This book aims to offer real-world examples of success, debunking the myth that success is only measurable by external markers. For each woman, success is defined differently, and usually through trial and error. In today’s hectic world, filled with a false sense of urgency, panic, and the need to appear perfect, Redefining Success is a welcome breath of fresh air, filled with truth, heart, and inspiration.
