Het zijn romans die een fictief verhaal vertellen in een historisch correct decor. Toch is dat laatste in de bovengenoemde gevallen niet helemaal waar. De tegenstellingen die in een spannend verhaal worden opgevoerd zijn meer chauvinistische uitlatingen dan historisch correcte gebeurtenissen.
