More > Football League in 1907. The Woodville Club suffered complete division and disintegrated in the inaugural season of the South Australian Football Association. Three captains during the season indicated the deep divisions and internal dissent that rocked the club’s performances throughout its final season. The final record of the club was that it played games, lost and forfeited due to its inability to have enough players to field a team and finished in a much lower place than expected on the very first Association premiership table. The outcome of the demise of the Woodville Football Club, however, was to bring about the most radical transformation of the game in the following season.
