I am a Cell Biologist. Thirty-one years ago in 1982, I began to study the origin of life related project - the biosynthesis of membrane, because I wanted to join a fundamental discussion - “If... More > the human being was created by the God, or, through the long course of evolution?” That is an unsolved long debating even for today. And each party is actually contradictory one to another in the philosophical battlefield in human history. Four steps of the silylated aminoplastic embedding method to preserve lipid and membrane structure for electron microscopy are included, with which he produced the world’s first pseudocolor EM photograph in 1982.< Less

Song of Love: An album of 16 poems By Johnson Gao
Hardcover: $26.95
Ships in 6-8 business days.
An album of 16 poems by Johnson Gao. The theme is related to mom, dad, love, snow, Obama, money, bird, stone, Nano Art, etc. There are some color art images and photos (by the author and his son... More > Raymond Gao and his sister-in-law Wei Hua) inserted in it. The nano art image of lipoprotein molecules is amazing. It was at a magnification of x 1,100,000 that the poet had produced in 1983, which might be the first pseudo-color electron micrograph in the world. At such a magnification, a 1 mm sesame seed can be enlarged to the size of a stadium about 1.1 km long. That image may add a special honor to that album of poems. Besides, the poet also has put a Chinese ink and water color painting of a bird in it, which was painted by him more than 50 years ago when he was only 12 years of age. The price was set for materials used only. No any royalty was added.
