This book features more than 300 Bible passages that promote the dignity and sanctity of human life.
Even if those who favor legal abortion never read this, it is hoped that pro-life activists will... More > find much biblical evidence to counter the pro-abortion arguments, and to convert the sad number of "pro-choice" Christians back to the biblical pro-life position. Pro-life young people vastly outnumber the adults, and it is in young people where our greatest hope lies, for they are defending children not much younger than they are themselves, and they know the pleasures of being young and all the things babies miss because of the tragedy of abortion. In the end, young people will be the victors in this fight.
PAUL DAVID JOSEPH ARMSTRONG is an eighteen-year-old Catholic pro-life activist who has also given several well-received talks to large audiences on the topic of autism. He is currently working on a fantasy novel and teaches catechism to sixth and ninth graders.< Less

The present volume consists of essays on three topics: the radical, extreme, quasi-schismatic wing of “traditionalism,” the New (Pauline, Novus Ordo) Mass and its liturgical abuses, and... More > genuine, orthodox (not silly liberal) ecumenism. "Traditionalists" want to be observant and faithful Catholics, for the most part, but they have been misled by various errors of the nature of what is called "rigorism". This recurring problem throughout Church history is seen in groups such as the Donatists, Montanists, Jansenists, and the Old Catholics who left the Church after Vatican I (1870): an error of thinking and out-of-whack perspective; an inability or unwillingness to think with the Mind of the Church, and a lack of charity. I love traditional Catholic worship. That’s not what this book will be critiquing. It will, rather, criticize fringe views that seek to “bash” the New Mass as profoundly “inauthentic” and inferior Catholic worship, and to dismiss Vatican II and true ecumenism.< Less

The doctrine of God remains as important as ever. The Apostle Paul rebuked the Corinthians in the first century for accepting "another Jesus" and "a different gospel" (2 Cor... More > 11:4). Denial of the deity of Christ and the Holy Trinity were no doubt among the falsehoods condemned by Paul as “doctrines of demons” (1 Tim 4:1). Christians need to know the biblical basis for these beliefs, in view of the many historic heresies and recent fashionable nonsense such as open theism and process theology. My emphasis is on a listing of many scores of relevant Bible passages (systematic theology). Additionally, I attempt to explain "theology proper" in laymen’s terms, so that, with the aid of this book, soaked with Scripture, anyone will be able to defend the biblical (and Nicene, Chalcedonian) truths of the Holy Trinity, Jesus as the incarnate God, and the divinity of the Holy Spirit. The coherence and truthfulness of orthodox, biblical theology of God is evident, the more these passages are understood.< Less

Catholic apologist Dave Armstrong has compiled his writing on the Eucharist & the Sacrifice of the Mass into a Scripture-packed 23 chapters and 222 pages.
Among the topics covered are: 1) the... More > special presence of God in physical objects in the OT, 2) comparison of the indwelling & the Real Presence, 3) doubting disciples in the eucharistic discourse of John 6, 4) exclusion of non-Catholics from Catholic communion, 5) St. Augustine's & John Calvin's views, 6) the Church fathers on the Sacrifice of the Mass, 7) St. Paul's "priestly" references, 8) biblical, analogical arguments for the Sacrifice of the Mass, 9) the Protestant "idolatry" accusation, and 10) biblical evidence for wholehearted formal, liturgical worship.
The facts of Church history are also examined in depth, with much corroboration from Protestant scholarly sources. Armstrong's explanations help to make Catholic teachings on the Holy Eucharist & the Mass understandable, plausible, & easily harmonized with the teaching of the Bible.< Less
