In 1979, he established Kitabat (Writings), a literary nonperiodical magazine, which lasted 1984. His poems were published- and still- in the main Arabic and Egyptian periodicals. He participated in Arabic and international symposia and seminars on poetry and cultural affairs in Egypt, Morocco, Iraq, United Emirates, France, Greece, Bulghary, Belguim, Croitia, Tunis and Algiers. Selections of his poetry were translated into French, Greek, Croitian, Italian and Bulgharian languages. Some books, many articles and academic thesises (in Arabic) were made on his particular role in modernist Egyptian and Arabic poetry and the main characteristics of his poetry.< Less
