IOTA God as Nature, Nature as God By Charles Gidley Wheeler
Paperback: $11.24

Iota is the acronymic name given to God-or-Nature. It stands for the Infinite One which is conceived under the Two Aspects of thought and matter. Following the 17th century philosopher Benedict... More > Spinoza, Wheeler shows that dualism of any sort, whether theological, philosophical or scientific, always leads to contradiction, division and conflict, and that regarding ourselves as parts of Nature and of each other is the only way forward to healing the divisions and conflicts between absolutist religions, cultures and faiths. The most important implication of Iota is that to hurt any part of Nature is to hurt our collective self.< Less

SpinbitZ is a philosophy of vision-logic interfaces for the percept-based illumination of abstract concepts. In tracing a nondual thread of rationality to its pre-Socratic roots, we find the... More > axis-mundi hidden within Zeno’s paradox, and within nondual rationality. With the help of a hundred illustrations, we trace this embryogenesis of rationality, as it reconnects to the alternative lineage of Deleuze, with a nondual fusion of Spinoza and Leibniz. We also find that mathematics mirrors this embryogenesis and holarchical structure. Interface Mathematics transitions from the “oppositional forces” of dualism, ultimately again to the “intensive” truths of the nondual. In making mathematics visible and understandable, the two fundamental axes of conceptual thought are shown. Spinoza’s “three infinities” are then seen as the triune interface between these axes, for illuminating and reconciling the many paradoxes of infinity as they wind their way into the truths of modern mathematics. Brief, absurdist, elliptical, exaggerated – interspersed with fragments of the world’s greatest sonnets – City of Gustav revisits, fictively and fantastically, Europe before... More > modernism, the theory of relativity, and the World Wars. Gustave M. the aphorist, a tragic artist-philosopher in the tradition of Hegel and Blake, has shut himself away in his flat, devastated by the infidelity and suicide of his fiancée, Princess Rachel Blanbekin IX, a highstrung heiress blackmailed by Gustave’s friend, the medical student, Lars. After twenty years, Rachel’s daughter Sophia (released from a nunnery into ownership of her estate, Toursenreve) has commissioned Lars to steal from Gustave the aphorisms that, rumor has it, he has written in the mother-of-pearl diary that belonged to her as a little girl. The theft of the diary rouses Gustave into a burlesque world of anarchy, crime, and nihilism that (paper-thin) is all too transparent to the transcendent.< Less

More > with an independent Wittgenstein-like odyssey through meaning. It ends with a view of faith as enabling correct ontological belief, whereas reason cannot select an ontology among possibilities. In between are helpful perspectives on philosophical and scientific reflection. “…Marvel not that I said unto thee that ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is everyone that is born of the spirit….If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall you believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?” -Jesus< Less
