Nielsen joined with Nordica to create a new opera company which inspired LA to declare artistic independence, and inspired Boston to build Boston Opera House in 1909. Tragically it was sunk by a corrupt manager after WW1. Nielsen began a concert career of great popularity, selling out Carnegie Hall and the Chautauqua tours.
