Some themes and images recur poem to poem, showing themselves to be insistent memes whose demands overcome nagging aesthetic concerns for lyrical flow. Like the darkness within, they exist and must be ceded their due. The outer world, the inner world, which is more real? The former taints the latter, seeping poisons into zones which should be pure; the latter defines the former, casting shadows where few are seen. Not even time is blameless, as it forms eddies and recycles scenes without clear point. All in all there is a sense of sinking, of a world gone bad, moving into “Some Semblance Of Decay”.< Less
