Il popolo l’accoglie festante alle nove. Gli dà il possesso canonico l’antecessore D. Pasquale Saragò, Can. Pen. Della Catt. di Tropea. La parola del Vescovo, S. E. Mons. Leo che con paterna dilezione volle essere presente, delinea al popolo la missione del parroco». Don Pasquale fu un valente Sacerdote, uomo di grande fede e cultura. Lascia un ricordo indelebile tra i fedeli e quanti lo conobbero, e ancora oggi viene ricordato con grande affetto e devozione. Del Parroco, Sac. Don. Pasquale Loiacono, rimane un manoscritto-diario, diviso in due fascicoli, che si conserva nell’Archivio parrocchiale di Santa Domenica.< Less
