The women from that study went on to form the first breast cancer dragon boat paddling team Abreast In A Boat. Now 20 years later there are over 200 teams and 150 of those teams are members of the International Breast Cancer Paddlers's Commission. The IBCPC promotes breast cancer survivorship dragon boat paddling internationally.
