You Will - Memoirs of a Loving Father: While Unknowingly Embarking On His Epic Journey Towards Growth By Frank J Melero Jr.
eBook (ePub): $3.99
“You Will” started as a set of memoirs for my two children during a very dark time in my life. Yes, my story started within my tribe but as time passed, I realized that it was for more... More > than just us. Sure, my book is entrenched in angst, painful memories and my wrestling with questions about the great unknown. But it’s more about the realization that love, grace and hope never die - ever. It’s about removing our blinders and choosing to see things for ourselves. It’s about how we all fall, but we can also all get back up. This is me finally listening and choosing that I can be a part of helping others do just that, even if via my own thorns and scars. This story isn’t only about telling people my story. It’s an open invitation. It’s me inviting them to share their story with the world too. You’re not alone, not even close. We are all called for greatness. This is my attempt to shine a light on the fact that we’re not done yet. We can all grow. We just got started. Feel free to sing along…< Less

Religious poems, which form the bulk of the book, include poems about Christmas, Lent and the Passion, pieces inspired by Christian poets George Herbert and T.S. Eliot, and poems about prayer and moral conflict with evil forces (what St Paul referred to as ‘wrestling with principalities and powers’). Prominent themes are faith tackling doubt and depression, the passage of time and spiritual journeys, and grace. This is a book of thought-provoking conversant poetry speaking about how to 'deal with,' 'distance yourself,' and/or 'break away,' from negative-minded people who don't mean you well in life, and/or... More > who prefer to live their lives with confusion, stupidity, ignorance, and ungodliness. Sadly, there are daughters & sons who've fallen victim to 'emotional blackmail' by a loved one who haven't wrestled nor confronted their own past demons for so long that its toll has become painfully burdensome. And no matter what you say or do, it's never enough, which is why it is so critical to "Preserve Your Sanity At All Cost," to increase the length of time of your existence on Earth to take care of self and your family! In this book you'll find that you (or someone else you know) are not alone when experiencing negative situations of any kind, which is why this subject of maintaining one's own sanity should be addressed publicly without candy-coating the truthfulness about negative human behavior.< Less

More > faith is conjectural, but his booklet was innovative when gallantry in self-defense ruled. Historically, the basis for the killing methods he proposed probably first saw light in Britain when the Anglo-Indian, engineer, Edward William Barton-Wright, founded the Bartitsu School of Arms in London in 1898. In 1900, Barton-Wright invited the Japanese jujitsu expert, S. K. Uyenishi, to teach at his school. Uyenishi soon began teaching extreme versions of jujitsu to British officers, before returning to Japan in 1908. Following the sowing of these first seeds, jujitsu techniques spread throughout the British Isles and abroad. Although Uyenishi had taught his own “Ju-Jutsu” as a recreational activity, it was probably from his jujitsu techniques combined with “Bartitsu” applications that unarmed combat for killing developed.< Less

More > match for a God who, many times, defies explanation. When we truly find God, we will also have to come to grips with our False Self in order for our True Self to emerge. And through the death of the False Self and the resurrection of the True Self, we will come “to know this love that surpasses knowledge” (Ephesians 3:19). The spiritual journey is a desperate one in the sense that we cannot make it on our own. We must possess a deep yearning and longing for God’s presence. The old hymn says it well: “I need Thee every hour.” However, the pursuit of our True Self requires a struggling with and striving after God. And likewise, it is only through resting in and wrestling with God that our True Self emerges. Come! Let’s find God and your True Self.< Less

More > Bible speaks of spiritual warfare in many places, but most directly in Ephesians 6:12, where Paul speaks of putting on the full armor of God: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Spiritual warfare is a reality of the Christian life. In this 40 day devotion you will discover and understand that our side wins. The Devil has already lost; and now he has nothing to lose in trying to take as many people with him in defeat. Therefore: “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.
