FOLLOWING IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF THE APOSTLE PAUL AN ARTIST’S SKETCHBOOK BLACK & WHITE EDITION By Robert S. Lee
Paperback: $15.99
Prints in 3-5 business days
On a trip to Turkey and Greece Robert Lee had the idea of drawing the monuments that the Apostle Paul visited. He set out to find a sketchbook and to work on as many drawings as possible. Due to time... More > constraints he really started the project after returning home. In four days the artist crisscrossed between Smyrna, Ephesus, the Isle of Patmos, Crete, and Santorini. Traveling first by bus and then by ship he saw beautiful landscapes, ruins, and rugged islands. Then he was off again for the next five days to Corinth, Cenchreae, Athens, Meteora, Vergina, Berea, Thessalonica, Philippi, and Kavala. As we look through the pages we can imagine being at the Museum of Ephesus or the Parthenon in Athens. We can feel the breeze blowing through the vineyards and olive groves. As we observe the drawings of the artifacts we are transported to a different time. He gives us the mythical Sphinx and the Centaur along with the lion and the eagle. Through these drawings we experience the essence of Asia Minor and Greece.< Less
