Has your heart been broken? Has something terrible happened—or not happened—that feels like it has shattered your life in a million pieces? If so, you are not alone. Jesus’ heart... More > was also broken. He was battered, betrayed, abandoned, and rejected, but He emerged victorious. That’s good news for us, because it means we can emerge victorious when our heart has been broken too! This wound will be high maintenance, I fear, and take a while to heal. It’s so vulnerable, an area of the body that’s so active and important for everyday life. We’re all doing what we can—short of wrapping it in bubble wrap—to steer clear of it. It can be really hard to protect a wound from further damage from outside influences. That got me thinking about other kinds of wounds.Deep wounds that are just as vulnerable to daily life but aren’t front and center for all to see and tiptoe around.< Less
WE ALL HAVE BEEN Humpty Dumpty...Some of us still are... By William Jenkins
Paperback: $6.00

I believe the real lesson we can learn from Humpty Dumpty's story is that we shouldn't put ourselves so high above the rest of our community, that when we do have a setback, it completely ruins us.... More > Our community of family and friends is there to help us when we need it, however, if we act like we are bigger or better than they are, they are less likely to put us back together, so to say, when we run into hardships of our own. But only recently did I get a much better appreciation of the lesson contained in the rhyme. All of our relationships are built on trust. When we violate that trust, it’s very difficult to restore it. When trust is broken, the relationship is damaged. There are no magic words or super glue that can repair a broken relationship. It takes time and a lot of effort. So what’s the lesson here? Relationships, like eggshells, are often fragile. They can break very easily. The best thing is to remember that “you can’t un-break an egg.” Guard and protect trust in your relationships.< Less

More > “Don’t fear failure so much that you refuse to try new things. The saddest summary of life contains three descriptions: could have, might have, and should have.” You need to Just Jump! There are two basic human emotions that are the driving force behind each thought, each daily inspiration, and that rare but pivotal new-chapter, life-changing decision. Those things are fear and love. The funny thing, however, is that they are intertwining forces. In order to feel passionately about something, fear and love must coexist.< Less
