I found this book fascinating. This is a book that grabs your attention right away with the, shall we say- unique perspective of the two main characters. With themes ranging from love, identity, grief, and self-determination, as well as the obvious life, death and the afterlife, this book explores a lot of ground and winds up with something thought-provoking to say about all of it. It kept me guessing, thinking and eagerly turning pages until the very end.

A decade ago, the person I loved most spent a week in that most mysterious of universes - the land between life and death. Seth Harper explores this mystery in a new, surprising way that speaks beautifully about love, loss, self-identity and self-sacrifice. Each time I read it I learn something new about myself. The writing is crisp, without the superfluous floweriness that in some works resembles literary narcissism. This is a page- turner in the truest sense. You simply must know where the next turn will take the characters, and you. Ultimately, it leads to a place as moving as it is satisfying. Harper is a new literary talent with a bright future. I enthusiastically recommend this book to anyone, especially those who have lost loved ones, and who love people who are in some ways lost themselves. Two thumbs up.

When you love someone who is very difficult to love it takes you in directions you never believe your heart could go! The lead characters in this book go through a tumultuous and arduous journey that challenges their sanity but also strengthens them.

When I picked up this book, I was not expecting the directions it took me. This lovingly crafted tale had me right from the beginning. In one way or another, this unusual book will strike you, no matter who you are. The end of the book brought tears to my eyes. Well worth the read... I recommend it to everyone. I especially recommend it to anyone who has ever lost a love or loved someone difficult. A++

This book is a refreshingly fantastic read! I could not put it down. The story is thoroughly creative and engaging, and the writing flows with poetic perfection. The themes of life, death, family and love are presented in a completely unique way; however the book also tackles more existential questions of place, time, soul and identity with approachable honesty. The characters stay with you long after the last page is turned. Highly recommend.
