The first published book of this fifty-something author (aka a'Kihoro) who found her voice when she put pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard, and
discovered that writing poetry is a life changing catharsis. Amani na Mapenzi: Love & Peace, speaks in a spiritual voice to young adults, African-Americans, abused women, and just plain folks. It is a collection of her first poems, with a touch of “Mother Wit,” that draw upon life, Agapē love, self love, emotion and wisdom—at times with a sense of humor—from adolescence to today.

"Amani na Mapenzi" This a very thoughtful, personal book of poetry. The author gets you to feel with her. Some poems will make you laugh, some will make you angry. I'm not a regular reader of poetry, but to me, that is what poetry is supposed to do. SB
