    "Interesting Book-a thumb up" This is an account of Sheila Chang’s bio. She was brought up in a Chinese-Scottish family. It covers over a span of ninety some years from WWI and forward. It starts with Scotland days. China was in the midst of a developing nation requiring western trained engineers, educators. The 10 year brief prosperity and progress was to brief to enjoy. Quickly China was experiencing violence, eight years of war with Japanese followed by a revolution prompting her to flee. The author possesses a remarkable memory presenting a fairly accurate modern history even to fine details. After moving to America, she developed a keen interest as a restaurateur introducing fine Chinese cuisines in the east coast. It was obvious that she contributes Chinese cuisine, chop sticks etc as an American household commodity the way Tacos, Pizzas are consumed. While in Texas she was open to bring local ethnic groups into food business. As more and more people are interested in... More > stir fry food, I can not stop thanking her contribution. The recipes are also excellent. One suggestion to make it standout even more is inclusion pictures of some hard to obtain ingredients. All in all, this is an excellent book.
