An EXCELLENT book from an EXCELLENT author!! Shirlee captures the feelings and emotions of her characters and that makes for a very enjoyable read. I was thrilled reading about a place that I know very well, along with the landmarks and familiar names. I can't wait to enjoy more of Shirlee's work! She has such a natural gift for writing. I highly recommend this book!!
I have lived in the Valpo area for 50 years. I enjoyed Shirlee'sreferences to places familiar to me. I loved the story, and was so NOT prepared for the twist of fate at the end. A very good read!! I couldn't put it down. Thank you Shirlee. Can't wait for your next one!!!
I loved the book. It caught my attention immediately. I recognized the names and places in the book and that made the read fun. I can hardly wait to read something else by Shirlee Fender.
