"The Rabbit. And viewing of said animal." Every few years, a book comes along that defines the era and genre discussed within it. If there is a finer book about a depressed midlands teacher and his trials, tribulations and ultimate redemption I'll eat my hat. In all seriousness, it is quality. Compellingly readable and scarily realistic, Simon Bailey has created full-realised characters and settings and done so with skill and panache. A fantastic novel and I hope for many more from this talented, young(ish) writer.

"Well worth a read!!!!" Brilliant and entertaining novel. You can relate to the main character Rob Jordan (except for the killing yourself part), but everyone has times where there are all those unsaid thoughts that the author just allows you to delve into. Gripping read! Love the sarcastic humour...makes you feel like Rob is a real character, that is on a very crazy and adventurous ride! well done! Recommended read!!!

"Hilarious" Hilarious. Deep, dark, and brooding humour, with plenty of wit and attention to detail. If you've ever watched Teachers this is the book for you. A cross between Catcher in the Rye and Trainspotting, with a bit of Shallow Grave for good measure.

"Better than Oscar Wilde..." Firstly, this book is ace and everybody should buy it NOW. It is so good that my mum saw it lying on my floor, picked it up and read it in two days. She also says that it's ace. We both particularly enjoyed the ending, it's really clever and made us laugh ALOT. As Simon Bailey taught me English, I was at first slightly disturbed by the constant expressions of hatred for students, but I've been reassured by the disclaimer. Oh yeah, and Rob Jordan's gran sounds really cool, I'd like her to be my gran. I definitely enjoyed it more than Oscar Wilde.

"quality" excellent book. Read this on holiday and polished it off in just over a day! I frequently found myself laughing out loud much to the annoyance im sure of the fellow brits soakig up the sun. Furthermore, it offended my mother, therefore it cant be half bad!! Everyone should buy it now. That is all.
