The loss of a loved one can be a painful and isolating experience. This collection of thoughts, poetry, quotes and advice brings help and solace and a hauntingly beautiful alternative to existing books about death and loss. The "grief" section of bookshops are all too often packed with dry self-help advice tracts, didactically informing us how we should handle our grief. Here is a book which invites the reader to acknowledge and meditate on their own feelings by exploring the author's own journey. Undoubtedly a book written out of raw emotion, it encourages the reader to embrace and acknowledge their sadness and hurt, yet provides the necessary glimmer of hope to understand that although life might never be the same again, there is a reason to hope and to live.
