A Faithful Image draws from conversations and artworks produced collaboratively at the Southwark Pensioners Centre. The project was led by Sonya Derman with Jill Gardner, Mary Hallam, Daphne Marr, and Jean Stanford. Using daily memories as a starting point, the project explores new ways of communicating and connecting current, lived experience with the more distant past. Throughout these weekly meetings, the subject matter evolved through drawing, painting, writing, and discussion of the images produced.
