From out of the birth canal of the Milky Way a mysterious wave is approaching earth. Suddenly Civilisation is in crisis, and begins to break down with bizarre and farcical results.
Celebrities begin self-destructing; an idiot footballer brings us to the brink of World War III by getting an ill-advised tattoo; the Prime Minister of the UK suspects he is a mere puppet for a shadowy cabal; and a new religious cult is formed, calling themselves The Love Revolution.
Through all the chaos and uncertainty wanders a failed music journalist turned celebrity ghost-writer.
What he learns will change his view of the world forever, or at least until the wave hits.
Will he drown, or will he learn to surf the cosmic wave?
'Behold the Cosmic Wave!' is a hilarious satire on modern consumerism; the media and its obsession with celebrity; corporate politics; and what it means to live in a materilaistic society, when society itself has been sold to the highest bidder.

Found 'Behold The Cosmic Wave' to be a proper page turner, reading it over just a few days. It read kind of like a more up to date (short period into future even!) Robert Anton Wilson's 'Illuminatus Trilogy' and i loved that this set in the UK. Very funny as well as thought inspiring, having to pause between many chapters to follow the trains of thought / contemplation of posssible realities that it cosmic triggered. Great novel - consciousness / conspiracy classic of our interesting times i highly recommend.
