Condensed Code of Operating Rules, Edition of 1951
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
The Condensed Code of Operating Rules provides a concise set of rules to operate model railroads. This rulebook is a necessity for anyone operating a North American model railroad in the 1940’s, 1950's or 1960's era. The Condensed Code are in use by hundreds of model railroaders across North America and the world.
Based on prototype railroad’s widely-adopted Consolidated Code of Operating Rules, the Condensed Code has eliminated rules that are rarely, if ever, applicable to a model railroad. This new "Edition of 1951" backdates the previous editions of the Condensed Code by adding rules covering Form 31 train orders as well as many other minor enhancements.
The Condensed Code of Operating Rules covers topics such as signals (whistle, hand, fixed signals and markers), superiority of trains, train orders, and ABS and CTC signaling. Not covered are track warrant and Direct Traffic Control systems of operation. Included in the same book are train dispatcher rules.
