"Great Value, Makes FileMaker Web Publishing Fun" After having this book for a few days in its PDF form, I can attest that it delivers on its promise of making web publishing fun. FileMaker is a great database tool, and I have been using it in my business all the way from its days as a Claris product! Lately web publishing has had a huge focus in the FileMaker community, and for us old timers it has always been somewhat of a black box - well this book changes that. When I combined Dreamweaver, FMStudio, and this invaluable resource - I have had access to my first FileMaker database from a web page within an hour. After going through a few more chapters I learned a lot of fun tricks and started really getting creative with my pages - portals and all. To keep this review balanced, I will say that this book could dedicate a bit more time to the testing server installation chapters - but then again setting up a whole server can be a bit of a pain (went through it though the... However when I go into production I do plan to skip the headache and just go with a hosting service - should have went with it initially as it is a very inexpensive option these days (my current choice is FMGateway). So overall, I would recommend this book - it is easy to follow and delivers on it's simple promise of bringing FileMaker web publishing to the masses. I hope this review helps some of you, especially the FileMaker developers who are just getting into the exciting online world of FileMaker. All the best, David.< Less
