"A True Poetic Pirate Classic!" I am not a big fan of poetry - just not my cup of tea - but I love pirates and this book is full of stories about pirates and sea battles and treasure that make me FEEL like I am in the middle of them! "The Captain's Coat," "Tale From the Devil's Tavern," "The Angel of Death," "Remembrance," and so many more are instant pirate classics in my mind! I loved some of the imagery in these poems, especially the ones like "The Captain's Coat" where the author wrote like he had really been aboard the "Adventure" sailing against a Spanish Galleon! And the ghost story in "Devil's Tavern" was great! It was like two different stories in one and I still shudder thinking about the ghost coming back and taking a pirate into the ether one night a year! There are so many different poets that no matter what type of poetry you like there's going to be something here that you'll want to read... More > again and again and again! If you like poetry or if you like pirates or if you just enjoy great storytelling, BUY THIS BOOK!< Less
