Friend Through the End is a compilation of 40 essays divided among five sections:
FAMILY- reflections on family members and a special look at how his hometown of Port Leyden, New York showed its support for the family at the time of the death of race car driver Kevin Ward, Junior.
FAIRWAYS- the author shares his passion for the game of golf. He looks at memorable golf buddies, unique hazards on the courses he’s played in California, and meets Cassie the golf dog. This section includes a short story never before published.
ADOPTED HOMETOWN- living in Merced, California for the past 7 years, the author shares his appreciation for the people and special places in the Central Valley.
CLIP SHOW- in a section made up of essays touching a variety of subjects, the author looks at special events such as his visit to the Vietnam Memorial in Washington. There's a new essay looking back on the death of civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Junior in 1968.
FRIENDS- this section celebrates people he has known.
