Fifteen is a terrible age for a boy. Ask one. Roadblocks are everywhere. Until he blows out those sixteen candles, nothing is going to happen---no cars, no girls, no fun.
A Touch of Green, tells the story of KIP HAZELTON, a shy, suburban teenager suffering from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and dealing with his parent’s marital problems. Kip joins his best friend, “EGG” and four others on a parent-free camping trip to southern Minnesota. The boys make a fateful decision to push on with their adventure despite adversity. But the real test for KIP comes when he has to find a way break free of his OCD and do what he must to win the girl and save his friends from a dangerous confrontation.
The novel is set in 1977, a simpler time before video games, cell phones and MTV. This book dips a group of fairly normal, suburban teen boys in over their heads and chronicles the humorous and sometimes disturbing results.
