The author of these true stories was a hay hauler, flat fixer, wood chopper, hog farmer, sheet rock taper, welder, industrial construction worker, golf course maintainer and pool cleaner. He is now disabled and can no longer do any of the above. He now writes: He writes to fill his day. He is not a talented writer, but he hopes to become one.
He takes great pleasure when he thinks about others reading his true stories which he has recollected, and hopes they will bring the reader joy. He does not write profoundly, he writes simply. He does not want the reader to have to think, but rather to imagine themselves in these situations. He wants the reader to laugh, cry, or just wonder, and hopefully not get too angry. He wants the reader to take a “time out” from their stressful life, relax and enjoy.

This book is amazing. I loved every minute of it. I even laughed at a few incidents. It was the perfect "time out" that I needed. Thanks Steve for a great book. Hope you will find the time to write more. I think everyone needs to get this book, they won't regret it.
