The Time of the Christ

Until the modern era, the Prophecy of Daniel had been believed to be accurate, not only in that it foretold the coming of Christ, but also that it gave a precise time frame for the event to occur. That Prophecy was keyed on an ancient feast and marriage of the Queen Esther. The fact that this time span was considered thoroughly accurate was considered one of the main testimonies to Christ's divinity. Yet today there is little emphasis on this. Curiously, how the Feast of Esther was kept at the time of Christ bears a striking similarity to the events of the Passion. What was going on? Can this be made sense of through modern scholarship?
